Robin Johnston

Born Robin (Alexander) Johnston in Southern Illinois, Harrisburg is my hometown. Gospel, Country, Rock, Indie influences show in my unique music style.  "She who sings, prays twice!" So.....been singing since the age of 2. Began writing music at 16 and not stopped yet. My "happy place" is the music studio for sure!

Introduced to Jesus when I was 12.  But went through sexual abuse as a teen....resulting in lots of bad decisions and several divorces.  But God blessed me with two wonderful children! Received my MPA from SIUC and taught college at prisons and So IL for 30 years.

Retired in 2021 to follow my life's dream of writing/producing/performing Christian music! Through a 10 year tough "Job" situation, I finally totally surrendered to the Lord. God got all of my attention and I read all of His Word, and glorious songs started popping out everywhere to me!! Now He has blessed me with over 30 songs on all online digital stores!  And three songs on radio charts--"WAVE AFTER WAVE" rose 6 months in 2024 & "HOLDIN THE MOON" & "RUNNING TO YOU" rising since May 2025!!

I've opened for Ronnie McDowell, sang with Mason Ramsey, and worked with many many Opry stars!
